Using Junel in male scleroderma patients

My husband has been diagnosed with scleroderma and has experienced chronic anemia due to watermelon stomach. He has had four endoscopic argon plasma coagulation treatments with little improvement. His gastroenterologist has now prescribed Junel Fe 1.5/30 to hopefully reduce the bleeding from the spider veins in his stomach. Is there evidence supporting this as a successful alternative treatment for anemic male patients with scleroderma? Thank you.
