Aderol use

In 2003 I was perscribed aderol for add, in late 2004 I quit cold turkey. When I quit taking my medication everything seemed to be going great. But here recently over the last few months Im beginning experience the same problems I was having before being perscribed the medication. I havent spoken to my doctor that was perscribing the medication since I quit taking it. But, now I feel I may need to get the medication once more. How would I go about this? Is it possible that I am having withdrawls from the medication almost three years after the fact? Should I go back the the same doctor and inform him of my thought that I should be put back on the medication?
