Generic vs name brand

My doctor has prescribed Loestrin 1.5/30 for me due to very irregular periods. I am wondering if there is any difference between this and the generic form Junel FE 1.5-30

I have read various opinions, some saying the generic was awful and others saying it was the same. I would like to know the pro's and cons of using these two. The generic is what I can afford but if it's not going to work as well then I would like to find something I can afford that works because I can't take the ups and downs of an eratic menstrual cycle.
