Can Nifedical xl affect your creatine reading on a lab test?

I am a lupus patient seeing a nephrologist because my disease is attacking my kidneys.

My blood pressuse was high and I was given various drugs to bring it down. Once I started

on nifedicak my creatine level shot up .7 points in after just a week. It went from a 1.7 to

a 2.4 which is quite a jump. I am currently using natural methods to treat my lupus, with

the exception of 40 mg prednisone which I will now be slowly tapering off of. I have gone to a

special diet of brown rice, green, yellow & orange veggies and fresh fruit except citris. I take

alot of nutritional suplements. My urine lab results have come back fantastic. What is going on?
