open angle glaucomaBy elizabeth from rotherham, england on January 21, 2007 Category: Diphenhydramine hydrochloride i am 48 years old and from childhood i have suffered from excema. i have been told i am atopic. around 7 years ago i was prescribed steriod eyedrops for itchy sore eyes resulting in steroid induced glaucoma. i am now registered blind. i have spent time investigating alternatives to medication eg herbal remedies etc. i have had allergy patch testing and i am aware of the obvious things to avoid.the test proved a sensitivity to latex and lanolin. i have a suspicion there may be other things i need to avoid for eg diphenhydramine hydrochloride. could this be hidden in everyday items i am using? does it affect my open angle glaucoma? i would appreciate your views on this matter, thank you elizabeth. |
