Glucotrol XL and a low Carb Diet

I am a diabetic on several oral agents including Glucotrol XL, Avandia and Metformin. Due to higher than wanted HbA1c, I have switched to a low carbohydrate diet and trying to follow the glycemic index on the carbs I do eat. My blood sugar has risen steadily over the past couple of weeks. Could this be caused by too much glucotrol XL - causing my liver to release more glucose?

I just can't understand. I'm eating less than ever and my blood sugar is worse than ever.
