letrozole and fertility treatment

Category: LETROZOLE (Oral) (Tablet)

I have recently turned forty years old and have never had children. My husband and I had an unsuccessful pregnancy in February of 2006, and have had some complications due to a botched D&C. I subsequntly had to have a second D&C (vacuum) in MAy of 2006. We have been trying to get pregnant since that time. We have consulted a fertility doctor and are about to start Letrozole- oral. Why has he prescribed a drug that is for breast cancer, and not recommended for women of child-bearing age?

I am concerned that I have received the wrong medication!

Please put my fears to rest!

Worries about Letrozole for fertility!

My doctor has prescribed Letrozole for fertility issues. I am concerned that this medicine will harm me or the baby once we conceive. Why am I being given this medicine??

Concerned,
