Risedronate oral tablet reactionBy ashok from India on December 31, 2006 Category: RISEDRONATE (Oral) (Tablet) The tablet was prescribed to a patient who has gastro infection & was under recovery, when it was noticed that she had pains in joints & doctors felt that she may be devloping ostoprosis. The patient is a lady & is 66 yrs. old. The said tablet was given through mouth in LYING down position by nurse with a cup of water. By evening the patient developed sever problems in the mouth. It developed blisters in the mouth. Since then she has not been able to take anything through mouth. You try to put even water in her mouth, she vomits. It is now eight days the medicine was given. Last five days, she is being fed liquid through tube. Most of the time she remains unconcious, is not able to speak, not taking anything through mouth. Please suggest, if the reaction of the tablet is permanent or ther is cure. Please help with any medicine which can overcome the reaction of the tablet. Ashok Grover |
