Lupron Injection to Shrink FibroidsBy Trish from Hampton, VA on December 19, 2006 Category: Lupron Depot (Injection) I am 32 years old. In December 1999 I found out that I was pregnant and at the same time I found out that I had a fibroid in my uterus the size of a melon. I was told the first week of February that my baby would die within two weeks as a resut of this fibroid. To make a long story short I gave birth to my daughter on June 6, 2000. She died June 7, 2000. My doctor wanted to do surgery to remove this fibroid. The fibroid was so large that he put me on Lupron (injection) to shrink it; that was in September 2000. My surgery was scheduled for December 26, 2000. My doctor did not explain the side effects of taking this drug. I immediatedly started having panic attacks, heart palpitaions, insomnia, when I would become really tired I would shake. Today, I still suffer from the heart palpitaions, fatigue and I still shake when I am tired. My questions to you would be; are the symptons normal as a result of taking Lupron, is there a cure of the side effects and what should I do? I also experience heart palpitaions when I exercise especially if my heart rate gets too high. Please help? Thanks, Trish |
